Love is in the Air with Tracie Hudson

Happy Valentines Day to you all….a day to celebrate being in LOVE and being LOVED.

Using the soft tones of Glitz Love Nest and some chipboard pieces, I created this free standing frame as a gift of LOVE for my husband.
The chipboard pieces were covered with patterned papers and layered on top of one another to create this dimensional home decor piece.
The blooms were created using scraps of paper, to which I added puff paint in order to create extra texture.

Supplies – Love Nest Block L2020 and Sky L2006; Scarlet Journaling Stickers C2204; Frosting; Glitz Tulle; Teeny Alpha C2327

My boys are the LOVE of my life – we have a secret code that we use between ourselves, when we are ending SMS text or email messages to one another – 1.4.3 – it means I LOVE YOU.

Supplies – Hoopla Titles C2174; Glitzers G2105; Peek-A-Boo PAB2280; Floral H2969,Frames H2921, Pipework H2945 and Cake H2938; Frosting F2884; Teeny Alpha C2808.

and finally I LOVE my home, its the one place in the world where I know I am LOVED.

Supplies – Hoopla Frames H2921; paper layers; Frosting; Teeny Alphas C2358; Love Nest cardstock stickers.

This box framed home decor piece was created by punching out small blooms from scraps of patterned papers. A single Glitz Frosting gem was added to the center of each bloom, before they was attached to a chipboard heart. The heart was then attached to one of Glitz Paper Layers and simply popped in to an inexpensive box frame.

I hope that your Valentines Day is filled with LOVE and happiness.

Thanks for dropping by.

Teeny Alpha Sentiments with Michelle Philippi

Happy Halfway-There Day, Lovelies!
We have precisely 5 days left to get all our pretty Valentines made, packaged and ready to celebrate love on Monday! But February isn’t just about the 14th, it really is the month that we celebrate love, isn’t it? So feeling the love I made some generic love cards for your sweet…and for your mother.
Yesterday Today Tomorrow…I love you. I went classic boy blue and girl pink so that on the fly I could give this to either my son or my daughter. It’s got a little frill to it so it probably is more suited for my daughter, but in a pinch to tell my son I {heart} him so, what’s a little frill from mom hurt, right? As long as I have my Glitz Teeny Alphas, I may never stamp a sentiment again *giggles*

Speaking of mom. Mother is another word for love. I’ve always loved that sentiment – even moreso after I became a mother. But here’s another on-the-fly mother-I-love-you sort of card. I really love pairing the Hoopla collection with white for a more fun feel and black for a more elegant and vintage feel.

Love Blessings with Noel Culbertson

I recently spent the evening at a Valentine’s dinner with my husband. We renewed our vows and found out just what we did and did not remember about each other playing the “Not So Newlywed” game. It’s always funny to see your life through your spouse’s eyes. We laughed a lot, especially when I tagged the bonus question spot on… He’d been asked, “Plus or minus three, how many pairs of shoes does your wife have?” When it came to my turn to answer, I asked if they wanted the actual number of shoes I have, or the answer I thought he’d say. I went with my gut and said, “A million.” It was, of course, the answer he’d written down. I may not have a million pairs of shoes… even with the plus or minus three, but I do have an amazing husband who I am thankful for everyday.

There are many things I don’t have, some that I wish for and some that I don’t. Life often falls short of our glorious dreams, but reality is a constant stream of unimaginable blessing. Take a minute today to think of those you love, and all of the riches they add to your daily life.

Cards made with Love with Laurie Schmidlin

A great big happy Monday to you!  Valentine’s Day is just one short week away and that has gotten me thinking about those in my life that I love.  :-)   I adore making cards…and especially for those that are special to me!  Nothing says I Love You quite like a made-with-heart card!

GD Love Is

I chose some of the softer patterns from the Love Nest collection for my first card  So that it would stand out a bit from the background, I arched the vellum layer (with the Love is rub on already applied) a bit and secured it with some brads on the sides.

GD Love Me Do

For my next card, I again chose some patterned paper from the Love Nest collection!  After adhering the bottom two layers together, I stamped one of the large rectangle frames (from the Fancy Frames set) using some brown pigment ink so that it covered a bit of both layers.  To create the focal point, I stamped a lovey-dovey sentiment and then added some Love Nest Glitzers to a round Love Nest cardstock journaling sticker (which I had already added some messy stitching to).
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope your day is one that is filled with those that you love!  ~Laurie

Love & Happiness with Mou Saha

Hi there, Mou Saha here with today’s layouts. It’s February and love is in the air. Whatever embodies your love the most this season, celebrate it! For me, my greatest love are my children and this month, I’ve dedicated both layouts to them as they are the reason I scrapbook :)
In my first layout “Love Always”, I wanted to create a pretty vintage look. The pink Damask paper was the perfect background and the bird cage paper layer was just the photo matte I needed.

I created rosettes using both sides of the Damask paper and added giant rhinestones to make the centers.

I created the title in layers. First added the clear frame sticker and added the pink alphabet stickers on top.

The rub on clock and ‘love’ definition were perfect embellishments for the page.

My second layout has more of a rustic feel to it.

In keeping with that feel, I tore paper and created a rough ruffled at the bottom and along the the right edges of the page. The stickers came together to sum up my message and create the title. The coordinating sides of the paper took the guesswork out of it. I used the finer dots as the photo matte and journaling spot.

Thanks and have fun!

Romantic Valentine’s with Kristii Lockart

Hi there dear friends!!! Once again it is my privilege to share some more Glitz goodness with you! I’ve been having some fun exploring the romantic side of Glitz Design and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to get a little romantic!

In my first card, I chose the pretty pink Damask from the Love Nest Collection and added some black accents along with some fun embossed edges to add texture. I layered a Black Glitzer frame onto a rustic cream background that was brushed with some distress ink and then I layered the rub ons on top of the Glitzer. It is such a fun challenge to mix and match all the amazing Glitz elements!! All the layers made a gorgeous romantic medalliion!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design “Love Nest” Papers: Damask
Glitz Design “Love Nest” Rub Ons
Glitz Design “Scarlett” Glitzers
Glitz Design Tulle
Glitz Design Giant Rhinestones: Pink, Black, Green
other supplies: cardstock: PTI rustic cream, Bazzill black; ribbon: Joann’s; embossing folder: Stampin Up!; punch: Stampin Up!; stamps: Hero Arts Canvas Stripes, PTI Love Birds; Die: PTI Heart Prints Collection; Kaiser Craft Jewels; Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Brushed Corduroy and Worn Lipstick, Memento Tuxedo Black
In my second card I pulled out the gorgeous Red Polka paper from the Scarlett Collection and I added some of the rub ons from the Love Nest collection. I just love how easily Glitz Designs Collections all mix and match so well together!!

I was looking for a simple, yet shabby chic feel for this romantic card. I crimped the Red Polka paper to add some texture, and then I let the rub on’s speak for themselves!!! I think the Love Nest Rub Ons are my very favorite embellishment by Glitz Designs!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Designs “Scarlett” paper: Polka
Glitz Designs “Love Nest” Rub Ons
other supplies: cardstock: PTI Rustic Cream; ribbon: PTI Rustic Cream grosgrain; Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Brushed Corduroy and Worn Lipstick; Fiskars Crimper; PTI button and button twine; lace and from my stash
Thanks for stopping by!
Wishing you a very Glitzy day!!!
Kristii
