Vintage Spring Cards with Kristii Lockart

Hi there dear friends!!! I am in heaven right now!! Not only is it spring, but it’s spring with a vintage twist-Glitz Style!  I am so in love with Glitz Design Afternoon Muse papers and goodies!! The colors are gorgeous,  the stamps are fantastic, and all the elements are absolutely amazing!!!
In the first card, I used Glitz Design Afternoon Muse Stamps, Whatnots and Glitzers to inspire my card!!  Isn’t the corner stamp simply amazing???  So very vintage!  I will be using the Afternoon Muse stamps quite often I’m sure!

The Afternoon Muse Glitzers are my favorites too!! I layered the birdies on top of the sweet Glitzer frame and don’t they look fabulous??  You can also see a close-up of the stamp in the following photo:

Artsy Easter Layouts with Lisa Andrews

When I saw the new Afternoon Muse line from Glitz, I knew it would be perfect for a couple of Easter layouts. The colors are so happy and fresh.

On my first layout, I used one of my favorite photos taken during Easter last year of my daughter coloring eggs. Her happy smile blurred in the background and the egg with her writing capture a fun Easter memory.

Did you know that Glitz Designs has a teeny alpha with a wood grain print? The brown wood grain is a great color because it coordinates with everything so easily. This sticker sheet may not last long since it’s one of my favorite alphas!

In this next layout, I had fun adding some paint to the page. Using a piece of corrugated cardboard plus some paint, I turned the cardboard into a stamp and pressed the painted cardboard right onto my background paper.

I did a litle touch up after stamping with a foam brush.

It’s a quick and easy way to add journaling lines to a page.

Since there was extra paint on the tray, I smudged some around the edges of the page with a foam paintbrush to add a little more texture to the page.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Enjoy Cards with Iwona Palamountain

Were you ever so glad for your happy mail to arrive, that you just wanted to gobble all of the stuff up? Well, that’s what happened to me the other day, when I received my box of goodies from Glitz Design’s Winter CHA release. These new collections are dreamy and oh-so-trendy, to start with… oh lucky, lucky me :)
For my first April assignment, I decided to tackle two of the new lines: Love Games & Afternoon Muse… with a little dash of Laced With Grace.

On my first card, I made a little collage of elements and patterns from the Love Games collection, and added the rose die cut from Laced With Grace. If you know my work a bit, then you also know that I like to mix & match elements from different sources. I was glad to discover that the rose fits right in :)

For the second one, made entirely with the Afternoon Muse collection, I decided to “dress up” my favourite stamp in the Glitz Design variety so far… the ferris wheel. Squeal!! Isn’t it amazing??

Follow your Bliss with Tracie Hudson

Of all the seasons – Spring is my favourite – not only is it the transition between Winter and Summer – but its a time of new beginnings – of regrowth – rebirth and renewal. Its a time when we can refresh not only our homes – but also our own personal lives. A time for us to take note – to make changes and to commit to following our bliss.

The colour tones of the new Laced in Grace accents from Glitz Designs remind me of Daffodils and Primroses – both of which are my favourite spring flowers.

To create this page I simply layered some of the new What Nots, Peek a Boo’s, Cardstock Stickers, Paper Layers and Page Titles from the Laced in Grace collection and attached these to a sheet of Scarlet “Bouquet” patterned paper. Butterflies were cut from Laced in Grace “Butterflies” patterned paper and Glitz Frosting added to give that extra little bling – the butterflies were then attached to the page using 3d foam pads.

Have a wonderful Spring time and thanks for dropping by.

Pretty Cards with Michelle Philippi

I am so tickled by all the new Glitz lines. Just so completely delighted. So many fun things that can take you in so many different directions…which is pretty much what I have for you today – a little whimsy, and then a little vintage love for grandma.
I feel pretty oh so pretty…my favorite version of this song is when Natalie Wood did it in West Side Story. Oh she really was SO pretty that Natalie Wood! And when I was singing this to myself and thinking about my card, I visualized her singing, and remembered that she was wearing orange, and a pink feathered tiara, and that she wrapped herself in tulle as she danced around singing….. so that’s where my inspiration came from for this card.
Annex - Wood, Natalie (Westside Story)_04
And this sweet grandmother card. The images found in all the new Glitz collections take me back to a simpler more genuine time and I really was trying to convey that in this card that will go to my mother from my kids for Mother’s Day.

Decorated Crafty Bin with Tammy Tutterow

I love fun little bins to that I can use in my crafty space to organize my supplies while looking super cute!  This fun little wodden bin was a post-holiday clearance aisle find at Hobby Lobby.  It was bright orange and all about Halloween.

With a quick re-cover with sunny yellow paper from Glitz Design’s Hoopla collection, I have a fun little cheery bin for only a few dollars.

I did a simple re-cover of the outside with the cheery yellow polka-dot side of Polka.  I recovered the inside with the white side of Zebra.  I decoupaged the paper onto the bin using Claudine Hellmuth Studio Multi Medium.  Once the medium was dry, I sanded the edges and brushed on Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

After I replaced the ribbon bow that came on the box, I added a fun label to the front.  Because the box was originally orange, I also recovered the bottom of the box with a scrap of Frames.

I adhered a cardstock Journaling sticker to a scap piece of paper.  I cut around the sticker leaving a very small border of paper.  I added Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges.  I added four round Glitzers stickers to the label and then layered white foam Thickers stickers on top to spell out “stuff”.  I used Green Alpha Teeny Alpha Stickers to add the work “fun”.  I used Adhesive Foam Sqaures to adhered the label to the front of the box.
The make-over took only about an hour, most of which was just decoupage drying time.  It was certainly a fast bargain make-over that adds a fun and sunny little catch-all to my space.

Spring Colors with Noel Culbertson

It’s been a little on the extra rainy and dreary side here in Washington for the past few weeks, and I am definitely ready for a taste of spring. The daffodils are starting to bloom, and even if it’s not a big yellow orb in the sky, at least it’s a much needed dose of spring color! This I figured I’d grab out all of the sunny spring colors in my pile of Glitz goodies, and do my best to will spring into existence… even if it’s just in my color schemes.
