Beautiful Dreamer cards with Kristii Lockart

Hi friends!!!! I hope you’re having an absolutely splendid day!!!  I can’t tell you how excited I am to share some cards I made with Glitz Design’s Beautiful Dreamer goodies today!!   You will see just how versatile the Beautiful Dreamer papers are!
The first card is all about friendship!  Giving that special friend in your life something pretty to brighten up her day is what this card is all about!

I used a Beautiful Dreamer Paper layer as the base of my card.  Isn’t it just divine?  Next, I stamped the lacy image from the Vintage Blue Stamp Set along the bottom!! Don’t you just love the intricate pattern? It’s absolutely beautiful!! I added a contrasting scalloped border, buttons, floral, bow and sentiment.  Such a beautiful card and it took no time at all!  The Glitz goodies speak for themselves!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design “Beautiful Dreamer” Papers:  Polka and Floral
Glitz Design “Beautiful Dreamer” Paper Layers
Glitz Design “Vintage Blue” Stamps
Other Supplies:  Papertrey Ink:  Rustic Cream Cardstock, Double Edged Banner Die, Buttons and twine; Making Memories Love Notes Shaped Pins; Prima Floral; Joann’s Ribbon; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink; Stampin Up Scallop Punch;

The second card takes on a different twist with the Beautiful Dreamer goodies!!!  The pink stripe paper reminds me of a candy cane and so I just had to make a Christmas Card with it!!  Pure deliciousness!!!

I cut a piece of the stripe paper slightly smaller than my 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base, cut the bottom third off and flipped it over to use as contrast.  Such an easy way to get the exact measurement that you need.  I punched the bottom edge of the contrasting paper and it added a little visual interest to the bottom of the card.  Then I die cut some snowflakes and deer.  I inked and glittered the snowflakes and inked the edges of the deer.  I layered the snowflakes, a Beautiful Dreamer Journaling Tag, and the deer as shown.  Then I added some lace, ribbon, jingle bells, buttons and twine to embellish.  I layered the sentiment under the deer for effect.

Supplies used:
Glitz Design “Beautiful Dreamer” Papers: Stripe

Glitz Design “Beautiful Dreamer” Journaling Tag

Sweet Layouts with Noel Culbertson

The gray skies have hit Washington State, and fall is underway. There always is a certain bit of sorrow knowing we’ll see very little of that glorious sunshine as the next few months pass into winter.  But even in the gray skies of winter, I’m blessed to be in a home filled with the sunshine of family and friends.

Take a minute to jot down a few of the things that bring a little brightness into your life, grab your stash of Glitz goodies and fill the coming gray days with plenty of sunshine.

Beautiful layouts with Camilla Eckman

Hi! Camilla Ekman here. I have played with the simply amazing new products from Glitz. The Dance in Sunshine has magnificent colours. Just look at the yellow and blue in this layout. I have added some white to make the colours pop even more.

Beautiful Stamping with Iwona Palamountain

Oh, joy! I couldn’t wait to lay my hands on the new Glitz Design release, and it’s finally here! It’s a hundred time more gorgeous that it looked like on the photos. Which equals, in short – I’m in heaven. Woo Hoo!

I reached first for the collection that I anticipated most – Beautiful Dreamer. It features my favourite ever colour combination (mint & coral with a touch of chocolate), and some of the loveliest designs. There’s a luscious damask, houndstooth, newsprint and a sweet wallpaper-like pattern that I used here…

Other: cardstock: white; ink: Memento (Rich Coca, Lady Bug), Versa Magic (Oasis Green); border punch: EK Success; wrinkled ribbon; clear button; rhinestones: Kaisercraft; Nestabilities Circles

I also couldn’t wait to cut into the Dance In Sunshine papers. I feel this line is going to turn me over to the purple side… (LOL)
It also has the most gorgeous damask paper and I cut out the flower from it, to use for a focal point.

I just love how Glitz Design pulls together beautiful new papers, trims, bling, tags, die cuts, transparencies, stickers and epoxy stickers all into one fabulous collection. There’s no need to search through your supplies to determine what looks right together because the work is already done for you! I love when that happens.

Beautiful Dreamer Gift Bags with Michelle Philippi

I love making gift bags and using them to give a little gift. There’s just something about that handmade touch that makes gift-giving so much more special. What’s more is giving a set of handmade gift bags as a gift. Same concept as making and giving greeting cards. This time it’s the packaging though.
I took some plain brown paper sacks, layered on some Beautiful Dreamer patterned paper from Glitz, faux stitched a border on each and then layered on a mix & match of stickers and cardstock pieces.
A quick & easy gift; a great hostess gift actually.

Hi all

Last week I was lucky enough to be able to teach an all day workshop for 3 Jolly Scrappers, made all the more exciting by being able to use some of the yummy new Glitz Designs products, even before I had managed to get my hands on my fantabulous DT kit so I thought I would share pictures of the layouts we created in class.

Then and Now
This was the first layout we created. I used the idea of a previous Glitz project I created here and it was fun to use all the lovely blues in the new Vintage Blue line for a monochrome front…

…as a contrast to the pop of colour from the new Dance in sunshine line. These two lines mix brilliantly together, that flash of green either side of the central strip across the centre is the green side of the raindrop paper.

The vintage blue paper layers created some lovely embellishments, and also the frames around my photos

and with scraps of the papers and some of the paper layers we created some lovely paper flower embellishments with beads set in glossy accents for the centres. As it was a class kit we had other product mixed in, but the new Teeny Alphas from Glitz would work brilliantly on this project as would the super cute What Nots.

Next up we created a layout using the lovely colour combo of Dance in Sunshine

This is our Happily ever after
I LOVE the colours in this collection! And the splash of red from the aida in the kit works brilliantly.

We splattered the 12 x 12 base with a co-ordinating green paint and did lots of distressing

And then lots of paper cutting in strips, hand cut scallops and circles allowed me to include as many of the yummy colours from the line as I could, well it would be rude not to!

Then finally the Dance in Sunshine paper layer created a great title for my layout and the birds and hearts cut from another paper layer made some cute embellishments.

So that was 2 layouts down but I couldn’t resist creating this from what we had left

My Guy
This was a great way to use up our left overs with some clever paper piecing and again also shows how these two lines work so well together.

I love the frame cut out from the reverse side of the Dance in Sunshine stripe paper backed with a paper layer to create a title block.

And a cute strip of bunting cut from the raindrop paper finished off the layout, tying it all together.

I really enjoyed sharing the Glitzy goodness with the ladies at the workshop and loved combining 2 of the fabulous new lines to do it.
Here’s what I used
Glitz Designs Vintage Blue papers; Floral, Polka, Rose, Toile
Glitz Designs Vintage Blue paper layers
Glitz Designs Dance in Sunshine; Floral, Polka, Raindrops, Stripe

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you’re well and happy and until soon Happy Crafting

Cheerful cards with Laurie Schmidlin

Good morning!  Lately our weather has been so cold and dreary, and I was in need of some cheering up!  So, I grabbed a steaming cup of tea, locked myself in my stamp room, and dug into the new Dance in Sunshine line from Glitz!  The warm, sunny colors soon had me smiling again!  :-)
GD Hello You
I couldn’t decide which papers I wanted to use first, so I used almost all of them!  :-)  I first stamped the background kraft layer using stamps from the Dance in Sunshine set, then punched out nine different circles from the Dance in Sunshine patterned paper collection!

GD Beautiful

My next card was inspired by my teenage daughter!  She’s about two months into her Sophomore year in High School and the “newness” of the year has definitely worn off.  The daily studying, getting up early, and traveling an hour (one way) to school  and back is starting to to take its toll on her.  I thought a card slipped into her backpack might cheer her up!  I used more Dance in Sunshine papers, a Dance in Sunshine Paper Layer, and an Epoxy Word from the Beautiful Dreamer collection.

Thanks so much for joining me here today!  I hope your day is filled with warmth and sunshine…even if it’s the kind you create yourself!  :-)  ~Laurie
