Happy Girl Layouts with Karola Witczak

Hello Everyone! Karola here with a small dose of Glitz inspiration for you! For today I have two layouts – as usually, but one of them is my version of the February Blog Challenge. I hope you submit your projects for our challenge! If not yet – don’t wait, make something stunning and join us!
Here is our February Focus:
And here is my page based on this beautiful palette:
I used Beautiful Dreamer collection - ideal for the color palette. You will find in this collection all of the above colors and even a bit more! This time I decided to create a page on floral pattern background, and as the main decoration I used Peek-a-Boo transparencies to make 2 frames. In one is my daughter’s photo and the secon is the place for title. I decided to make a light, airy, soft page without a huge amount of embellies to not hide gorgeous floral background. I cut out a part of sentence from one of Whatnots cards and placed it on a few strips under the photo. You can find also Glitzers and a few additional Prima flowers to make some domension on my page. Here are a few close-ups:
The second page is in totally different colors palette. I choosed yellow and purple to make another light and dreamy page about my daughter. Here also used redy-to-go title – this time it’s from Dance In Sunshine Whatnots. As you can see – I used two pages from Dance In Sunshine album to make a contrast background under the photo and embellies. This photo remind me when she was 3 years old and was so curious about everything! I think this title is perfect for my photo!
I decided to use stunning yellow tulle from Trims pack, very easy to use and what a great detail!

Encouraging Cards with Iwona Palamountain

Hi friends, it’s time for my new post at the Glitz blog!
I designed two cards, with the Dance In Sunshine and Vintage Blue Collections.

First up, Vintage Blue. I took the beautiful transparent Peek-A-Boo, and framed my card with it, backing it up first with a neutral patterned paper. More acrylic was used, in a form of the beautiful birdcage, that I “dressed up” with hand-cut and inked leaves. I also took the sticker, trimmed it to form a fun banner, and “hung” from the pom-pom trim.

Glitz Design “Vintage Blue” papers: Polka, Motif
Glitz Design “Vintage Blue” Titles Cardstock Stickers
Glitz Design “Vintage Blue” Peek-A-Boo
Glitz Design “Vintage Blue” Trim
Glitz Design “Vintage Blue” Giant Rhinestones

Other: cardstock: PTI (Lemon Tart), SU! (Old Olive); button twine; border punch: EK Success; sewing machine; ink: Versa Color (White); pinking scissors

I framed the next card as well, this time with a Paper Layer. I added the vintage Whatnot label, flower and wording.

Glitz Design “Dance In Sunshine” paper: Floral

See you next time!

Beautifully Feminine Layouts with Jolaine Frias

Hello again! As you know, this month, the DT is sharing projects inspired by the Blog Challenge color palette. I just love the combination of blue with pink and red, so inexpected but works wonderfully together!
For my first project, I created a playful page using the color palette and then cut-up sentiment from the Whatnot pack as my starting off point.

I cut out my second picture to add a touch of whimsy.

My second page is a softer version of the color palette in this ultra femenine LO.

I used lots of lace and cheese cloth to add softness to my page.

Thanks so much for visiting the Glitz blog today. I hope you feel inspired to enter our blog challenge, as usual the prize pack is just amazing!
Hugs,
Jolaine

Adding Color with Photos with Audrey Yeager

Hello everyone! I took at different approach to my pages this month based on the current challenge. The challenge was to use this color combo in your design:

So I went through all the lovely collections, and choose some papers that had these colors. Since there aren’t too many in the recent releases that have red in them, I used some photos that have a lot of red and I also stamped with some red ink.

Some of the Glitz epoxy stickers and the Peek-a-Boos had some red, so I used those as some accents.

So I decided to continue on with the color combo idea and find some other intersting combos with papers from Vintage Blue, Beautiful Dreamer, and Dance in the Sunshine.  I laid out some different papers with each other until I found a combo I liked.  I really love the midnight blue with yellow and I thought that teal added a great accent color.

This is a rather simple page for me, but I really wanted to focus on the moment in the photos.
I cut out the star shapes with my Cricut, and one just happened to land right over the letter “G” which was a perfect fit for my page!

Thanks for stopping by today!

-Audrey

For the Girls with Tracie Hudson

With far too many boys in my life, every now and then I feel the need to scrap a girlie page or two and that’s when my friends come in handy as most of them have girls!

Beautiful Dreamer

For my take on this month’s Glitz Designs Challenge, I spritzed a sheet of cream cardstock using a coloured mist. As a reminder, here is the challenge graphic:

I cut one of the Beautiful Dreamer PeekaBoo’s in half and used it to create a frame around the focal point of the page. Epoxy Words and Cardstock Stickers were clustered together with Teeny Alphas to create the page title, with a strip of Glitz Frosting giving that finishing touch.

Supplies – Glitz Designs Beautiful Dreamer Patterned Paper Stripe & Polka; Beautiful Dreamer PeekaBoo, Epoxy Words, Cardstock Stickers; Teeny Alpha.

Sweet Life
To create this page of my friend Anna’s daughter, I hand cut the floral design from a sheet of Vintage Blue patterned paper before attaching it to the page with 3d foam pads.
I used one of the Peek a Boo transparencies to create the frame around the photograph and layered journal and page title stickers together to create a platform for the title to sit up on. The page was finished off by adding a length of twisted Tulle from Glitz Designs.
Supplies – Glitz Designs Vintage Blue Patterned Paper Rose & Floral; Vintage Blue Cardstock Titles, Trim, PeekaBoo and Epoxy Words; Dance in Sunshine Journaling Stickers; Teeny Alphas.

Have fun.

For my second card, I chose three different patterned papers from the new Pretty in Pink 6″ Paper Pack.  I embellished it with a stamped image, some Teeny Alpha Stickers, & a Glitzer.

Sweet Valentine’s with Kristii Lockart

Happy Valentine’s Day dear friends!!! I have some fun little Valentine’s Day cards for you today made with Glitz Design’s new line, Happy Travels!!!
The first card features a sweet little Happy Travels Glitzer airplane with a trail of hearts behind it.  I can’t wait to give this card to my sweetie!! The sentiment “Let’s get away together”, says it all!!!
I stamped the card base with the Happy Travels map stamp and layered the sticker right over the top.  I used another Glitzer Sticker for the sentiment with the help of some AC Honey Thickers.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Designs Happy Travels 6×6 Paper Pad
Glitz Designs Happy Travels Stamps

Glitz Designs Happy Travels Giant Rhinestones

Other Supplies:  Papertrey Ink Rustic Cream Cardstock and Heart Border Die; My Craft Spot Baker’s Twine; Crinkle Ribbon by MemrieMare; American Crafts Honey Thickers; Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink

The next card is a bit more romantic with a Heart Doily and a Happy Travels Layered Sticker.

I used the layered sticker as the focal point and layered it over patterned paper, the doily and lace.  I used the leftovers from the heart border die cut from the previous card as the decorative edge on this card.  I just love utilizing leftovers!!!  I layered the Glitzer sentiment onto rustic cream cardstock and adhered it to the sticker.

Whimsical & Sweet Layouts with Noel Culbertson

This month’s Glitz Challenge is, of course, perfectly suited to a month dedicated to sweetness and love. The splash of turquoise gives a great balance to the daintiness of the traditional Valentine pinks. The combination on colors also gives ample opportunity to layer color as well as textures. Glitz has loads of texture to offer to compliment their fabulous patterned papers with trims, What Nots, Peek-a-Boo transparencies, cardstock stickers and paper layers. Try using your hand at using colors as an excuse to stack a few extra layers onto your next layout or project.
