Hello everyone, Karola here with another inspirations set for you! As you well know this month we have fantastic challenge with book pages as a inspiration:
Yep. I’m hopelessly in love with Glitz Design products, and so blessed and fortunate to design for this fabulous company! Today is the time for another one of my DT posts, and I hope you’ll enjoy my cards
In terms of bulky, I certainly beat the record here… lol! I had in mind these bunches of roses coming out from behind the flourished label. I cut them out of the patterned paper from Laced With Grace, it’s one of my favourite floral papers ever.

Another much loved paper used here, Damask from Dance In Sunshine (in my favorite teal color), made its way into this card, along with some pleated strip of Paper Layers and more goodness from the same collection.

Hi everyone! Jolaine here to share my layouts with you this month. As you know, our design focus is to use book paper in our projects. Lea, our DT coordinator extraordinaire provided this beautiful image as inspiration…
I also wanted to challenge myself to create depth in my layouts. In my first LO, I created dimension using layers while in the second layout, I played around with mediums, sooo much fun!
This layout features the new and totally awesome Pretty In Pink. This collection is has soft, romantic colors as well as grungy, vintage ones, it’s totally me! The paper layers were an excellent way to incorporate book paper into my LO.
The cherub and vintage clocks image were fussy cut out of a mini album page.
For my next layout, I used the Happy Travels collection, another stunning release!
There’s lots of dimension here, I had a blast creating this page!
I used a Crafter’s Workshop template to achieve the brick effect but painted over it with modeling paste instead of paint and that resulted in more texture.
I combined coarse craft sand with Mod Podge to sprikle thoughout my page. Small sea shells along with craft netting (found in the river rock section of the craft store) were also tucked around the photo for a more ‘beachy’ effect.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you find time to play along with the blog challenge, I absolutely enjoy seeing all your wonderful submissions.
Have a happy scrappy time!

Hello Glitz fans!!! Audrey here today to share with you my interpretation of this months challenge to use BOOK PAPER on your project.
There is a sheet of paper in the Beautiful Dreamer line that works perfectly for this challenge! It is covered in book text. Unfortunately, I hardly have any of it left, so I had to use some scraps, so this page is all about the scraps! I think I have used 5 or 6 different collections on this one page.
I framed my photos with some What Nots and then cut out some little black frames on my Cricut. I backed each frame with some patterned paper. Three of the frames have the book paper on them and to make them stand out a bit more I popped them off the page.
One of the frames is a Glitzer sticker, so to add some more GLITZ I added some small rhinestones to my oval photo frames.
Next up I wanted to use the Dance in the Sunshine collection for these photos of my little girl playing outside. The purple in her shirt and the sunshine behind her were a perfect fit for these pages.
I cut a large frame out of white cardstock, stamped it lightly, and then distressed the edges. I then used a stitch stamp and wrote my journaling around the edge. I also added in some Paper Layers on this page that had book print on them, too!
And I have a confession to make! (It’s always good to share the mix ups with the good, too, right?) After I had stamped my stitched lines on my white frame I decided they would be awesome for journaling. But after I photographed my layout, I realized that I had already used a sticker to the left of my photos as a spot for journaling!! So right now it is blank, but I will dress it up with some type of embellishment!!! Oops!! But the funny thing is, I am still very happy with the way my page turned out! :)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Good morning! Normally, I am definitely a “pile on the layers and embellishments” type of stamper. Sometimes, though, it’s fun to step out of my box and try my hand at creating more simple designs!
This first card definitely falls into the quick and easy category, but the airplane Glitzer absolutely steals the show (in my opinion) and didn’t need a lot of embellishing! I started with a white background (the bottom layer is embossed using an embossing folder). I then added some punched out hearts (using papers from the Happy Travels collection), an Epoxy Word, and a button. That’s it! These cards are not only quick to create, but are also easy to mail!
My second card does contain a few more embellishments but I still kept the design simple. In fact, I plan on mass-producing these (all except the tag) and keeping them on hand for when the need arises. All I would need to do later, is add a tag with an appropriate sentiment for the occasion! So easy!
Thanks so much for joining me here today! ~Laurie

Hello everybody! How you doing? Our March special project focus is about Paper Layers.
Have you ever used Paper Layers, before? With Glitz Paper Layers you can make accents, layers for your layout, and much more! Please, try it out someday and make a project using Paper Layers, you will see how this product is versatile!
In my first project I have used Paper Layers to make flags and clouds. See how it works perfectly well:
See how you can customize the Paper Layers: drawing and stamping! It works perfectly well for anything you want to create!
I used the flag stamp from Love Games Clear Stamp Collection!
I cut many strips and sew to create an exclusive chevron pattern to my layout! Is it a kind of patchwork with paper? Don’t you think so?
Take a look here in this detail: a typewriter machine cut out from a paper layer. This paper in specific is from Dance in Sunshine collection. You can cut out, you can draw, you can use it whole!
I love to create this project and the title was inspired by Karola Witczak! I’ve read on Karola’s blog a post with this title! Karola thanks for inspiration!
Here I’ve used the Paper Layer to create a background for this frame:
And I’ve used the Paper Layer with Peek-a-boo. I paste the paper layer behind the peek-a-boo die cut, take a look how the patterned is highlighted!
More details of this layout, a variety of flags, layerind the page:
I die cut a little bag using French Kiss Papers and filled it full of handmade French Kiss inspired goodies:
The front of the bag is layered with French Kiss Papers, Peek a Boos, and stamped images. I rolled some die cut flowers and added some pearls and a stamped mini tag.
Inside the bag is a handmade note pad. I cut a French Kiss Album page to 4 3/4″ x 8″ and folded it in half. I embellished it with a doily, ribbon, button and twine. I stamped “Notes” on the front with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I cut some journal paper slightly smaller than the cover and punched some of the edges with a decorative punch. I folded the paper in half and stitched the papers together along the seam. I glued the pad inside the cover with Zip Dry.
Also included in the ensemble are a little decorated glassine bag full of mini tags and a bookmark featuring a French Kiss Layered Sticker.
Lots of fun little goodies that are quick and easy to assemble. They will make a fabulous gift for a loved one or dear friend!!

Wishing you a Glitzy Day,
I love perusing vintage markets for fun finds and great decor ideas. I love to see ordinary items put to a new and delightful use around the home. Book paper scraps really get to the heart of scrapbooking – making something beautiful from an otherwise ordinary object. But, being a lover of books, I find it hard to tear out these little treasures. Enter: Glitz Designs Paper Layers. You get all of the goodness of these vintage-style pages without the heartache of tearing them from their covers.
My oldest daughter is an avid reader and loves even the smell of old books. With the thought of the rugged edge of an old book as an inspiration, I cut a Glitz Paper Layer into strips, stacked them and ruffled the edges. I added a little shabby chic touch by tucking some Glitz Trims between the layers.
