Celebrating Daughters with Karola Witczak

Hello everyone! It’s Karola here with another Glitz inspiration in this beautiful month! As we have a fantastic challenge about woman’s in our lives…
Image
… my first layout is about… okay, not woman, but the girl, who is most important in my life… It’s my daughter Rose and I strongly believe that she will be an amazing woman in her adult life. I see many similarities between us, she’s as crazy as me, just loves people and animals in the same way like me, she smiles like me and sometimes she is nervous – just like mom. I believe that the daughter can be a mom’s best friend, I hope that it will be in the future. Our relation is very strong and very close, so… I made a layout about my motherhood love…I used Happy Travels collection, I especially love aqua and red color combo in this line. I framed my photo using one of the Happy Travels Peek-A-Boo transparency sheet – the sweet heart was perfect for this page. I cut out some of the flowers you can find on patterned paper in this line, roses was the best to decorate my sweet Rose..

The second layout is also about my daughter – like a 99% my layouts, of course. I took this photo a few weeks ago and I totally love it. She is so happy here and full of positive emotions. I used the Pretty In Pink line to decorate this amazing photo of her. Pink with brown is a one of my fave colors together, so inspiring and perfect for any occasion! I decided to make it very feminine, full of layers and details page. Used here 6 x 6 Pretty In Pink papers to cut out some circles – very simple details, but I love how circles building page. Photo was framed with Pretty In Pink Peek-A-Boo transparency frame – love the effect!

Beautiful Mother with Jolaine Frias

Hello again friends! Although Mother’s Day has passed, our blog challenge is to celebrate the important women in our lives all month long!

To honor the most important woman in my life, I created a layout of my mom. She’s the strongest woman I know, wholeheartedly and selflessly dedicated to her children. And look at her, not an ounce of make-up and she still looks gorgeous!

I used the neutral tones in the gorgeous French Kiss collection and layered flowers and other embellishments to complement her photo. Here’s a closer look…
For my next layout, I played with Happy Travels. I really love the brown and teal hues in this collection! I’m lucky to have gotten this shot of my son sitting in our backyard. He’s three years old and at the moment, the minute he sees me holding a camera, he runs away!!!
Some close-ups…
There’s still plenty of time left to take part in our challenge, I hope you dig up your Glitz stash and play along! Thanks so much for your visit today. Have fun scrapping!

XO,
Jolaine

Grandmas & Babies with Audrey Yeager

Hello everyone!  A special belated Mother’s Day to all you hard working and crafty moms!!!  Audrey here to share my take on this months’ challenge.
Since my mom got an iPhone, she takes photos of herself and stuff around her all the time and sends them to me to share with my daughter.  So I grabbed one of my favorite photos from my phone and made a page about it!  She is a fantastic mother, but an even better grandma.  My daughter misses her so (we are 1700 miles apart).  Anyways, I wanted to use some bright girly colors so I went with this palette:
I actually have been using my Cricut a lot lately, and I used it to cut out this lacy pattern from some bright yellow paper from Vintage Blue.  I also really liked the inside shapes, too, so I added them to my page as well.

I added a few dabs of Stickles here and there for some sparkle and this phrase is totally something my mom would say!  :)

I found this wooden word in my stash and misted it to match the papers and stickers.  I just love these teeny alphas, too!

We wouldn’t be called “moms” if we didn’t have these precious things to make us who we are.  I’m talking about sweet babies!

I also put my Cricut to work on this page, too, cutting out these doilies from an free svg file I found online.  I just resized them and cut three of them to place on my page. A small maroon punched flower and a rhinestone are in the center, and I used some jute twine and wrapped it around the page.

I had a lot of fun layer some of the chipboard stickers, transparencies, and epoxy stickers, too.

And I don’t often use premade titles for my pages, but the word “Joli” just seemed to capture my sweet little guys’ personality!  I stitched the stickers over one of the small doilies on the edge of the page.

Thanks for joining me today!

Every Occasion Cards with Laurie Schmidlin

Hi there!  It’s my turn again to share some projects using the fabulous new Glitz Design collections!  One of my favorite kind of cards to make, is ones that I can use for almost any situation!  I like to keep several on hand to use when I need them.  As I was looking through my Glitz papers (a favorite past time of mine Teeheee!) I decided that the Happy Travels line would be perfect for what I had in mind!

GD Every Little Thing

Oh how I adore teal/aqua with red!  I think that’s one of the reasons why I love the Happy Travels collection so much!  It’s so classy, yet fun all at the same time!  I used several papers from the Happy Travels 6″ Paper Pack, a Peek-a-Boo, and a coordinating Cardstock Sticker.  I adorned it with a Giant Rhinestone, ribbon, a flower, a button, and a decorative pin.

GD Journey

For my second card, I couldn’t make up my mind which papers to use…so I used all of the ones I had on my desk!  Teeehee!  I layered them at an angle, and then added some Happy Travels Epoxy Stickers.  I wanted to keep the embellishments to a minimum, so I added a Giant Rhinestone and some mini staples.

Thanks so much for joining me today!

Hugs, Laurie
