Halloween Treat Boxes with Laurie Schmidlin

Hi friends!  Today I have a couple of sweet little Halloween treat boxes to share with you!  Although Glitz doesn’t have a Halloween themed collection, many of their papers work beautifully for this holiday!

GD Boo Box

For my first box, I created a Jack-O-Lantern treat box using some Laced With Grace paper, a Scarlett Glitzer, and some Teeny Alpha stickers!  I added a French Kiss Giant Rhinestone for a finishing touch.  I used my Silhouette Cameo (and a shape from the Silhouette store) to cut out the box.  Glitz papers cut wonderfully…they are thick enough that the paper doesn’t tear, but not too thick that it still cuts cleanly!

GD Spooky Box

My second box is fun little bat shaped treat holder that features paper form the Love Games collection.  I added some googlie eyes for a fun, whimsical look.  :-)   Again, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the box.

GD Spooky Box 2

For the tag, I used a Dance in Sunshine Glitzer and some Teeny Alpha stickers.

These were such quick and easy projects…perfect for mass producing!  I plan on using these for my son’s class treats, but they would also be great for neighbor gifts or party favors!

Thanks so much for joining me here today!  ~Laurie

  1. Wow oh wow! I have been sitting here this morning looking for something unique to make treat bags for my husbands employees..I just found it!
Thanks for the great inspiration! It is perfect!
The check for the ladies and the bat for the men!

  2. I really like the Back-I-Lantern. The plaid
paper is super cute and it would make an easy
treat box for all the kids in my neighborhood .
    Thanks so much for sharing:-)

  3. I like the pumpkin , but I must say the bat treat container is the cutest ever. I think I may have to try making that.

  4. These are so cute! I wish I had the time and resources to make these now but I will save your idea for future reference. I LOVE them!! :-D
