Live Life in Color with Janna Werner

It’s Color Me Happy week!!  For the first part of the week we have some normal design team posts, but on Thursday we are having our first ever Glitz Design Blog Hop!  Tons of inspiration from our DT, and the chance to win the entire Color Me Happy collection for yourself!

Up first for the week….an amazing post from Janna!!

Hello everyone, this is Janna with a brand new Glitz Design scrapbooking page. Today I am here to show you a layout that was created with the Color Me Happy collection – a very vivid, happy and playful line (and definitely one of my favorites). Instead of going for a light design, I decided to create a colorful and intense page. I used the Chalkboard paper as background to let the colors pop out of the page. I dampened the contrast of the background and top layers by applying the giant roller stamp “woodgrain” with white ink and by sewing on the edges, using a white thread. I mounted the black paper on top of Polka paper, to give the page a friendy and happy look.

I started this page with only one photo, the top right one. When I was close to being done, the middle part was still missing something, so I added another photo. I thought it would be fun to take a picture of the layout and attach it on top of the photo frame ;)

Here is a list of the Glitz Design supplies that I used to create the page (all are from the Color Me Happy collection):
papers: chalkboard, polka, hearts, stripe, bits and pieces, woodgrain
embellishments: giant rhinestones, whatnots, washi tape (rainbow chevron and stripe), paper layers, journaling stickers
stamp: giant roller stamp woodgrain
alphas: white, rainbow

Have a great day, everyone!
Janna
