Here is what Jaime has to say, “I absolutely LOVE the Glitz Chalkboard papers!  For my Project Life spread, I used the Chalkboard papers and trimmed the bottom right to a 4×6 size from the 8×8 paper pad.  My white Sharpie POPS off of the chalkboard papers – so gorgeous!”

And a little bit of info from Magda, “For this week I’ve made pages for my Project Life. It’s about a great Sunday I’ve spent with my family at my paretns house. I’m happy to have five sisters – they are just awesome! I’m not into a black colour in my projects but I love how this small chalkboard hearts look like! They suits here perfectly. I wanted my pages to look full of love and happiness ”

Here is what Jaime had to say, “I created my layout to celebrate my husband, my best friend and my rock.  I hand cut the hearts from the 6×6 and 8×8 paper pads and attached the smallest with foam pop dots.  I used my Silhouette to cut out my title work!”

Up first is Noel, with a layout featuring a favorite photo from her childhood, & how much she misses her dad.

Here is a little more info from Noel, “This week for Glitz we worked on projects featuring the men in our lives. This year I’ve been reflecting on my dad – this first Father’s Day without him. I scanned and printed this photo of my dad with my siblings and I taking a ride on his back. It’s one of my most fond memories from growing up, playing and laughing together as a family. He really was an amazing dad, who devoted his whole heart each day to his family. I cannot help but think of how thankful I am for every memory, every moment that I had with my dad. So this year I am trying my very best to take hold of each moment, treasuring the memories and counting each blessing.”

Here is a little more about it from Stephanie, “For the Glitz Design Father’s Day celebration, I wanted to create a layout celebrating the wonderful relationship between my kids and my husband.  They all have so much fun together and it’s so neat to capture these memories and then document them all together.  The Uncharted Waters “I love you like crazy” title sticker was the inspiration for my layout.  Since I wanted to include a lot of pictures of my kids and hubby together, I decided to sew a sunburst pattern on my card stock and then use the title sticker as the center of my layout.  I used several pieces of from the 6×6 paper pads to create my layers under each photo and then finished off the layout with some sewing, embellishments and word stickers from the Sunshine In My Soul collection.”

Here is what Lisa has to say, “I love using mist on layouts to add a few splashes of color. On this layout I also used the mist to draw the journaling lines. I just unscrewed the top of the mist and dragged the end of the plastic dispenser tube along my paper. I was a quick and easy way to add a journaling space.”

Here is what Marie has to say, “My husband and I have a wonderful relationship. He is a great father, husband, best friend, soulmate. I wanted to pay tribute to him/us. He completes me. When we go on our date nights to the movie theater we always try to take photo booth pics. I love scrapping these photos. Uncharted just seems to go so nicely with not only beach themes but relationship pages also. My husband is my anchor. I love the Uncharted paper Whatnots and used the anchor not only as an embellishment but to tie in my title. I love the film strip and wanted to showcase just one of our photo booth photos. I always need dimension and texture on my pages so I sewed a circle to draw focus to my small picture.”

I think ‘Sunshine in my soul’ collection is perfect for masculine projects, especially those blue pages – they look like a man’s shirt ”

Happy Monday, Glitz fans!!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and maybe some time to get a little crafty even?  Father’s Day is this coming Sunday in the US, so this week we are celebrating the men & boys in our lives.

Up first is Karine who has a layout about her man, and a card that she plans to send to him.  Check it out!

Here is what Karine has to say about her layout, “Today I choose to scrapbook a pretty romantic picture starring my sweetheart! It was obvious to me that I would use this beautiful soft blue pattern paper from the “Color me Happy” collection, it is so in line with the colours of my picture! As we were staying near the ocean, I also chose to use some Papers Layers from the Uncharted Waters collection.  Perfect mix, isn’t it?

This is a very simple lay out: I played with matching shades adding small touches of blue here and there, and choosing a predominantly beige colour.  Then I brought volume to the page, adding a touch of pink, thanks to the Giant Rhinestones. If I could, I would have them everywhere because I like them so much!”

Here is what Karine has to say about her card, “I also want to show you a postcard that I will send to my sweetheart who works in Africa at the moment. I hope this will let him know that we will be together soon   I went for dynamism and colours by choosing a background paper from the “Sunshine in my Soul” collection, and “Love you Madly” & “Color me Happy” stickers. As a finishing touch, I added a Giant Rhinestones from the “Love you Madly”collection to bring extra volume and brightness.  I simply folded in half the background paper and rounded the corners with a punch.  A quick-to-realise card which will be a nice surprise for him.”

Here is what Marie had to say about the Peek A Boos, “The peekaboos are so versatile. I used my ampersands for part of my title and the frame as the focus of my layout. I also wanted to draw attention to my picture of the cupcakes so I used a little throw away frame that came with the film strip. I loved it and thought it made my photo pop. So don’t throw those bits away they work great to draw attention to a photo or  be made into a little embellishment.”

Here is a bit of info from Noel on how she used them, “These fabulous printed transparencies are great for adding layers while still highlighting the patterned papers below. On this project I used the peek-a-boos as a photo mat. I also used strips cut from the hidden areas of the pink frame, and the punch out section of pink film strip peek-a-boo I used on project a couple of weeks ago. Mix and match from different Glitz lines for added interest. Here I used peek-a-boos from the “Love You Madly” and “Yours Truly” lines.”

Up next is Karine with this romantic & sweet layout, using a really fun color combo!

Here is what Karine has to say, “This is a page with a brand new combo as far as I’m concerned, and I must say: I love it! A combination of yellow, black, grey and kraft that I never tried before, but I think I will test it again with the new collection “Sunshine in my Soul”.

I started by choosing a nice picture that I was wishing to frame. The Glitz Design transparencies are just perfect for that! I chose a pretty lacy frame as well as a black transparent background that I used to create a mat to my picture. Then I added torn papers from the “Sunshine in my Soul” paper pad.

I stamped the kraft background with one of my favourite pattern of the moment: the Glitz calendar! I was aiming for texture so I stamped with irregularity until there was no more ink. This way we obtain a nice gradation of grey.

Add small butterflies stamped patterns and some splashes made with yellow spray ink.

The title “Forever/always” is a Glitz Design stamp. It is glued in 3D adhesive for more volume. Then insert some more little accents such as buttons and sequins as a finishing touch!”

Today we have some colorful & bold projects by two of our fabulous designers, Karola & Lisa.  Up first is Karola, with a fun layout about her sweet daughter!

Here are Karola’s thoughts on Peek A Boos, “I must admit that at the beginning of my adventure with Glitz products, Peek-a-boos was a challenge for me. But soon I found out what a great addition they are! In today’s inspiration I used a large Color Me Happy Peek-a-boos to arrange background on my page. When I added the title and a big hot air balloon, it turned out that a half of work I have finished! But I decided to create also a few layers using the Peek-a-boos. As you can see – the vast majority of elements in my work, are Peek-a-boos. With its transparency and bright colors you can create beautiful, layered and interesting compositions.”
